14th of August Pakistan Independence Day : Behind the Facts


The Independence Day of Pakistan is celebrated on 14th of August every year with great zeal. There is a national holiday on this event all around the country.

Enlighten Buildings:

Buildings in every province especially Assembly Halls, Governor Houses, Supreme Court, High Courts, Wapda House, Minar-e-Pakistan,  Mazar-e-Quaid, National Assembly and the President House is enlighten with fabulous and marvelous combination of colors. The main color which can be seen on 14th of August in every part of the country is GREEN.




Link with Ramadan:

It’s a great pleasure for the nation and the Muslims that Pakistan came into being on a sacred night of Ramadan which is 27th according to Islamic Calendar.



Youngster’s Passions:

Youngsters show their zeal and zest on this day. They stay on the streets whole night and celebrate by dancing and singing. “Mili Nagmas” are of great importance. “Noor Jahan” a great legend of Pakistan has sung many Mili Nagmas to motivate her nation.









Face Painting:

There is a great charm to color the face and hands with green and white color. Green color of the flag shows the majority Muslim community in Pakistan and the white color of the flag shows the religious minorities. It also symbolize peace.








Stalls of Flags:

Stalls are organized during the whole month of August. People usually buy Pakistan’s flags and batches.


 

Wagha Border Parade:

Rangers of Pakistan organize special parade on this day of independence on the Wagha Border(Lahore).

o   Pakistan has a credit of being a “NUCLEAR POWER”.
