What is Bermuda Triangle ?
The Bermuda Triangle is a triangular
area in the Atlantic Ocean bounded roughly at its points by Miami, Bermuda, and
Puerto Rico. Many people, ships and planes have vanished in this area. The
size of the triangle varies from 500,000 square miles to three times that size,
depending on the imagination of the author. The estimates range from about 200
to no more than 1,000 incidents in the past 500 years.
What happens in Bermuda Triangle ?
Many think of the Bermuda Triangle, also known as the
Devil's Triangle, as an "imaginary" area. The U. S. Board of
Geographic Names does not recognize the Bermuda Triangle and does not maintain
an official file on it. There have been countless people who have disappeared. Boats never make it home.
Planes vanish from the sky
Disappearance of Flight 19
The U.S. Navy Avengers Flight 19 disappeared in the
Bermuda Triangle
Disappearance of flight NC-16002
Commercial flight NC-16002 also disappeared in the
Triangle.
Where it is located ?
Imaginary lines drawn between Miami, Bermuda and Peurto
Rico make up the borders of the mysterious Bermuda Triangle.
Who discovered it ?
No one knows for sure who discovered the Bermuda Triangle.
It was said that the explorer Christopher Columbus noticed something very odd
about it, but stayed away from it. It could be possible that the very first
person to discover the Bermuda Triangle didn't live to tell the tale.
